So hey! How are you all?!

We have all taken several trips around the sun since I have gotten on here and even thought about posting, but here I am!!  Usually time seems to fly when you're having fun, but let's be real... it flies regardless of your circumstances and life within! Life has been crazy (who's hasn't right?) and time away was necessary, appreciated and inevitable.  Enough about that whole mish mash...because that's for another post for another day:-)

On this great day two years ago, this super sweet, adorable couple got married! Samantha has always held a special place in my heart, but it's deeper than that. I shared with Samantha and Kyle previously that their wedding was unique to me.  Her and Kyle's wedding day will forever be etched in my memory. But the most significant is the day of their beautiful wedding, today June 29.  My parents celebrated their 51st anniversary which ended up being their last before my Momma left this earth too soon.  Though one chapter was closing, a brand new story was just beginning, and we're so happy we got to be a part of it!

Another hot day! I feel like hot outdoor weddings have been my calling in the past, haha!  Like the kind of hot where an ice cold drink just feels mediocre and the grip on your gear feels like you dipped your hands in coconut oil before picking it up.

I will forever remember their special day and the connected love of family and friends that surrounded them. It's evident Samantha and Kyle are blessed with and a blessing to those around them and that everyone seems to hold tight to their connections.  I loved them all! It was so fun to see a bride and groom truly engage with their people and have fun on their big day, not just feel like you have to be cordial and say hi to all your tables.  They were unapologetically themselves.

The Old Wooden Barn of Hudsonville MI was the backdrop of their gorgeous day. It's true, it has all the old wood, :P ...and a hill not for the faint of heart, lol!  One side of the barn completely opens up to invite the fresh breezes into the open air high ceilings which hold a super cool, huge perfectly placed chandelier. I love how the space between the boards let just enough light to creep in to give the ceremony that deep intimate vibe.

To maximize time for some Mr & Mrs shots, we set up a first look. We're usually pretty much sticklers when it comes to the first look as far as making sure it stays intimate and personal for the couple. We aim to clear the area and others around so the couple has time to just be still, take time for themselves and not have any distractions near them, so they can focus on each other. Because this usually is the only time couples actually have to themselves to reflect on their big day and to take each other in. But this intimate introduction was so cute, and Samantha and Kyle were all about it and welcomed the peanut gallery... which did I tell you I loved them?!  We loved their anticipation, and they were absolutely adorable peeking around the corner, like they were spying on a couple of celebrities! You could feel the love they all shared for Kyle and Samantha and their excitement was contagious.

Kyle did pretty good keeping it together when he saw his beautiful bride turn that corner as she strolled towards him.  The lump in his throat slowly moved as he bit his lip waiting for her to reach him.  It was a beautiful ceremony with soft light and deep shadows and the delicate string lights adorned the edges of the large wooden beams.

The dancing and all the fun was in the same spot, so all moved out for a quick break, and pictures for the bridal party and a plea to the little ones for a smile b/c this is almost over.  Which by the way we did catch him running by when he saw the whole bridal party cranking up the fun... and of course he had to be a part of it!

I'm so excited to share their day with you all!
